From The Artist

My works are social studies of my environment, society and current political issues. I always have a message for my audience. Sometime my thoughts appeared as protest, sometime as satire or a subject. I love to make large artwork to communicate with a large audience. I never use expensive material for my works, rather I try to use cheap and easily found materials like paper, bamboo, and sand.

I respect my culture, Bangla. It is one of the ancient cultures enriched with own script and language, literature, music, art, and dance. I also love to learn how people of other cultures live and behave. This helps me to understand and appreciate those cultures because I always keep my mind open to new things.

My work is not always for a gallery or a residence wall; sometimes I make work for open spaces or street. Open space give me the freedom of making large things. I try to display my artwork in different festivals, streets, or crowded area. I love to make masks. I make most of my masks from paper, sand, and sawdust.
